Using hot water heaters to optimise PV self-consumption and assist grid stability
10 CPD POINTS
Dean will present the potential of water heaters as domestic thermal batteries, to optimise PV self-consumption and benefit the grid voltage and frequency stability. Dean will draw on academic publications he has authored, along with the latest research undertaken at RMIT, highlighting practical applications and current regulatory/market limitations. He will demonstrate it's possible to lower consumer energy costs whilst assisting the grid transformation into 100% renewable energy.
